Grab your green swag and come celebrate the luck of the Irish with Lucky Joe’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade! Tomorrow, Saturday March 15, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. the parade will circle Old Town starting on Walnut Avenue. The parade includes The Children’s Heart Foundation, Markley Motors, The Silver Grill (tossing free cinnamon rolls to the crowd), live music, and more with over 80 Irish-themed floats!
Get there early for your spot along the street, and follow this route to make sure you have the perfect view. After the parade, check out Old Town Square where the party continues. Wilbur’s Total Beverage is hosting Irish festivities with Odell beer, green Guinness, food, and live music. Here’s the performance schedule:
11:00 a.m. -12:30 p.m. - Celtica, bagpipe rock band
12:30 p.m. -1:00 p.m. – McTeggart Irish Dancers
1:00 p.m. -3:00 p.m. - The Commoners, Irish Rock
3:30 p.m. -5:00 p.m. - TribU2, U2 tribute band
This day is sure to be packed with fun memories… seeing that you don’t drink too much green beer.
If you’re up for something more vigorous, before the parade try the Sharin’ O’ the Green 5K run put on by Partners Mentoring Youth. Registration starts tomorrow at 7 a.m. and the race is at 8:30 a.m. All participants over 21 will receive a free Odell beer for participating.
