Coming From The Fort

Greetings Fort Collins! My name is Allison, and I’m so stoked to be a new blogger for Entertaining Fort Collins. I was born and raised in Fort Collins, so I can never get enough of local bands, local art and local food. I’m so excited to bring you the scoop on where to find the best entertainment in town.

After graduating in 2013 from Colorado State University with a journalism degree and a minor in business administration, I immediately moved to New York City to work for Financial Times. While the job and city were exciting, I missed my home town and the entertainment it has to offer. In mid-August, I moved back to The Fort and began to write for Scene Magazine, BandWagon Magazine, and Fort Collins Magazine – basically any local entertainment writing I could find. I’m so thrilled to have an online platform for all things FoCo, because now you don’t have to wait for a print issue to see what I deem as great entertainment! Check out all the exciting people and events this town has to offer by reading my blogs every Tuesday and Friday on Entertaining Fort Collins. Never fear, for Malini will still be blogging, too.

Part of knowing everything that is going on in town comes from having good connections. If you want to connect with me or have an exciting blog idea, give me a shout out! If you’re a musician, I want to meet you. If you’re an artist, I want to meet you. If you’re an actor/actress, I want to meet you. Even if you’re just someone who goes out on the town a lot, I want to meet you! You can talk to me by commenting on blog posts or emailing me.

Fort Collins is an entertainment Mecca. It’s constantly growing, and I’m so excited to be a part of it. My blogs will include a wide variety of subjects such as local art, concerts, events, workshops, reviews, and fun things to do in Fort Collins. I hope you enjoy what I’ll be serving up!
