For those of us who were waiting for Liz Barnez to take the Singer-Songwriter Stage at Bohemian Nights at NewWestFest, only to be rained out after one song, will be thrilled to know that Barnez is taking the stage right around the corner.
Fort Collins Nursery and KRFC have teamed up again to present act two of their new summer concert series featuring the beloved local music legend! Liz brings her unique style of music, described by some as “acoustic swamp-rock” to the beautiful outdoor stage in the Rock Garden for our final concert of the summer. Liz’s music bears the marks of her diverse musical journey, from her native New Orleans through funk, gospel, soul, and dixieland. Her friendship with Steve Amedee of the Subdudes paved her eventual transition to Colorado, where she has become a quintessential star in the NoCo music scene.
Join Liz and our great local community along the banks of Dry Creek and the Poudre River to wrap up the summer in style with an unforgettable night of music, dancing, food and drinks in the beautiful outdoor venue, appropriately dubbed “The Rock Garden.”
Cold beer from Odell Brewing Company will be on tap with food truck deliciousness from Magic Cart Ride and Feeney’s Weenies. Proceeds from beer sales will benefit Junior League of Fort Collins.
